Noelia Williams is a PhD candidate and mentee of Dr. Buchanan. She is honored to be one of the awardees for this year's International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) Food Protection Student Travel Award. Noelia's interest and commitment to food safety has grown over time as is evident through her contributions to organizations like IAFP. Along with Dr. Buchanan she has assisted with the organizations of the IAFP 2013 Symposium "The Next Risk Analysis Challenge: Linking HACCP and Risk Assessments" for which she is also speaker and co-convenor. Noelia is "truly grateful for the opportunity to fully participate at IAFP 2013 and to contribute to the advancement of research in the food safety community."
